| There was some difficulty for some students to post comments without a gmail account. In order to ensure everyone can post a comment by the due date 1/12/12, I have temporarily changed the commenting options. What does this mean to you? The most important thing is that you now have to make sure you physically type your name at the end of your comment. Very important to do if you want to get credit for your spectacular post. Secondly, you will have to create a gmail account between now and your second blog post which will be before the end of the month. Creating an account with gmail is very easy and takes only a few minutes. |

Welcome class of 2015!
Here it is! Your very own English class blog (thunderous applause commence). This is where you'll post, respond, connect and discuss ideas about the literature we read. This blog will act as a way for you to communicate with each other and formulate opinions and ideas. Remember that these entries are your classwork/homework. Anything you write here will be seen and graded. Your classmates will also view your entries and get the opportunity to comment. What you write here should be thought-out and school-appropriate. This blog is an extension of Edison High School and is subject to school rules and regulations.

Period 2
After reading Kafka's Letters to Father, write a response that shows your understanding of Franz's relationship with his father Hermann. Be sure to comment on a specific quote from the Letters or show a connection between The Metamorphosis and Letters to Father. The questions posted are only here to get you started in case you get stuck. Do not feel as though you have to be boxed in by these. If there is something interesting that struck you while reading, feel free to respond to that. In addition, if you read a previous post and wish to build on that go right ahead.
